Private Fishing Charters in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
Every Huntress charter is private. Your group, your boat, your day on the Kona Coast. Capt. Jack and his crew handle the tackle, the lure spread, and everything on deck. You show up and fish.
We run two trip options. Call us at (808) 443-6421 and we'll help you figure out the right one for your group.

Full Day Charter
More time on the water means more water covered and more shots at fish. Same setup as the 3/4 day — private boat, full crew, full lure spread — with the extra time to do it right.
Best for serious anglers or anyone who's come to Kona and wants the full experience.

Our Fish Policy
We want every fish that comes off this boat to be eaten and enjoyed — not wasted.
Guests are welcome to take up to 50% of one fish. It sounds like a limit, but it's actually plenty — a single Ahi or Ono goes a long way. The rest stays on the boat so we can pass it along to friends and family who'll make good use of it.
It's a policy we're proud of. Come out, catch great fish, eat well, and know that nothing goes to waste.
Common Questions
-
Yes. The Huntress is a stable 42-foot boat. As long as kids can handle a few hours offshore, they're welcome. Call us if you want to talk through the right trip for your group.
-
Pacific Blue Marlin is the flagship — what Kona is known for worldwide. Beyond that, Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna), Ono (Wahoo), and Mahimahi are all in these waters. Any one of them is a great day. A mix of them is a great story.
-
We watch conditions closely. Kona has some of the most reliable weather on the island — most days we go. If it's not safe, we'll reach out to reschedule.
-
Yes. All Huntress charters are private. Your group only.
-
Billfish are released at the boat. For eating fish — Ahi, Ono, Mahimahi — guests take up to 50% of one fish. That's genuinely more than most groups can eat. The rest we pass on so nothing goes to waste.
